Obituary

Utevia Decker passed from this world, to her heavenly home, on Wednesday, September 30, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Ruel and Hazel Minyard of Louisville. She grew up in Paris, graduating from Paris High School, and was retired from The Kentucky Bank.

She was a member of Central Baptist Church where she made a profession of faith at a young age. She loved people and life, found each day a blessing, and had a strong desire to be a blessing to others. She enjoyed traveling, which took her to many interesting places in Europe, the Middle East, and all over the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

She is survived by a daughter, Kathi Lucky, three grandsons, five great grandchildren, one great, great grandchild, three stepchildren, and eight step grandsons.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother, and husbands, George Lucky and Arvel Decker.

The funeral service for Utevia Decker will be at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. on October 5, 2020, with Rev. Mickey Ballard officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with casket bearers being her grandsons, Geoffrey, Brandon, and Brian Bills, Hugh Crombie, Terry Tubbs, and Aaron Tubbs. Honorary bearers are Kathy Kenimer, Curtis Kenimer, Betty Edwards, Bill Tipton, Judy and Mike Horne. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church, 829 High Street, Paris, KY 40361. www.hintonturner.com

My parents were friends of your mother and father. I'm so very sorry the loss of your mother. My mom and dad Charles and Mary Thorpe thought alot of Utevia and George. Keeping all of the families in prayers.

I'm so sorry to hear this. She and George were good friends to my former in-laws, Jewell and Juanita. May your memories bring you peace in the coming days.
