Wallace “Junior” Brown, Jr. of Paris, widower of Anna Margaret “Marge” Paynter Brown, having been married 52 years, departed this life on Saturday, February 13, 2021, at Sayre Christian Village, at the age of 98 years. He was born on December 31, 1922, in Burlington, Kentucky, the son of the late Wallace Brown Sr., and Mayme Moore Brown, received his education at North Middletown School, a veteran of the United States Army, having served in World War II, a retired sheet metal worker for the Bluegrass Army Depot at Avon, and a member of the First Church of God. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Wallace Ann Brown, his siblings, Katherine Cain, Christine Miller, Lida Leggett, Ann Shrout, Lena Davis, Henry Brown, J.D. Brown, and Don Brown.

Surviving is a daughter, Patricia (David) Giles; two granddaughters Kelli (Eric) Hobson, Megan (Brian) Burton; four great grandchildren, Colby Christopher Hobson, Cameron David Hobson, Harper Alan Burton, and Hayes Brown Burton. Also surviving is a sister, Louise Cole; a brother, Bobby (Florence) Brown; and two sisters-in-law, Arveta Brown Pitts, and Gladys George.

The funeral service for Wallace “Junior” Brown, Jr. will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2021, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Rev. David Mefford and Rev. Timothy Pierce officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens with casket bearers being Wayne Brown, Tommy Fletcher, Wesley Davis, Jr., Paul Adamson, Jr., Mike Brown, Ken Brown, Mark Brown, Bill Watson, Eric Hobson, and Brian Burton. Honorary bearers are E.J. Caswell, David Mefford, Ronnie Reffett, Carl Goodwin, Larry Shrout, Dannie Ritchie, and Garland George. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon prior to the funeral. The funeral will be webcast for family and friends who are unable to attend.
