Wayne Elwen Ray, husband of Elaine Shelly Ray, departed this life on Friday, March 19, 2020, at the V.A. Medical Center in Lexington, having attained the age of 72 years. He was born on August 20, 1947 in Saint Louis, Illinois to the late Bland Elwen and Lovis Irene Lindsey Ray, was a Viet Nam Veteran, having served in the Marines, a Chief Train Dispatcher for TTI Railroad, and was a member of the Paris Church of Christ.

Besides his wife Elaine, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Josh Ray and Stephanie Carbonell-Ray; a daughter, Jamie Lynn Conner; three grandchildren, Isabel and Caroline Ray, Mylee Conner; mother-in-law, Lucille Shelly; and two brothers-in-law, Chuck Shelly and Johnny Shelly.

There will be a private funeral service for Wayne Elwen Ray at the Paris Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Clay Leonard officiating. Interment will immediately follow. www.hintonturner.com
