William Alfred “Bill” Adkins, age 78, a retired administrative assistant for the Kentucky State Highway Department, died Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Bourbon Community Hospital. He was born February 21, 1943 in Highsplint, Kentucky, son of the late Rev. Thomas and Lucy Paralee Caylor Adkins. Bill was a veteran of the United States Air Force, proudly serving from 1963-1967, and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church-Paris.

He is survived by four sons, Chris Adkins and his daughter Isabella; Bill (Shawna) Adkins and their son, Max; Barry (Brandi) Adkins and their children Jackson and Andi; Todd Adkins and his son Roman; a brother, Huey Adkins; sister, Jean Carmony; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
