Obituary for Velma Mary Luttrell (Orr)

Velma Mary Orr Luttrell, 94, U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, died Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the V.A. Medical Center. She was born April 22, 1922 in Venango, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Rodney and Nora Homan Orr. Velma was a member of the United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She is survived by a daughter, Jane Ellen Turner, Lexington; a granddaughter, Sarah Jane (Samuel) Rios, Lexington; a twin sister, Thelma Wirick, Apollo, Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Lloyd Irvin and Roger Phillip Luttrell. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 27, at Evergreen Memory Gardens. There will be no visitation.
