CREMATION

Cremation, instead of burial,  as a form of disposition has gained in popularity in recent years.  The reasons that folks are choosing cremation vary but the desire to memorialize the deceased with a ceremony of some type is still important to most.  Whether a life has been meaningful to a few or many, a ceremony allows those affected to share in a time of reflection and remembrance.  With cremation, the type of ceremony can vary depending on the wishes of the ones making the decisions. Here we present the three options that we most commonly see chosen by the families that have chosen cremation.

Traditional Services
 followed by Cremation

The body is present for a traditional visitation and funeral.  A casket designed for cremation is used for the visitation and funeral followed by cremation instead of a burial.

Memorial Service
Following Cremation

Following cremation, a memorial service is conducted at the funeral home, your church or other place you choose.

Direct Cremation
with no ceremony

Cremation arrangements are carried out without a formal ceremony.
