Hinton-Turner Funeral Home

Disposition

Not many years ago in this area, the disposition of a body in most every case meant burial or possibly entombment in a mausoleum.  Over time, cremation has become more popular presenting different ways of disposition.  Though the manner of disposition may be different, the desire to remember someone's life through a ceremony remains important to most.

While a traditional funeral culminates with a burial or entombment in a cemetery, cremation presents more options when it comes to the ultimate disposition of the cremated remains.  Cremation may take place either before or after the service.  Either way, choices for placement of the urn include keeping it in the home, memorialization at a cemetery by burial or inurnment in a niche or monument or some choose to scatter the remains in a meaningful place.
