Alberta Franklin McKenzie, 71, Levy Road, a retired cashier, mother of Vanessa (Andy) North, North Middletown, died Monday, December 7, 2009 at the Hospice Care Center. She was born December 2, 1938 in Bourbon County, daughter of the late Van Curtis and Blanche Pope Franklin, attended North Middletown High School, and was a member of Spears Mill Baptist Church. She is also survived by a sister, Elizabeth Logan, North Middletown; a brother, James (Jean) Franklin, Paris; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Hermal McKenzie and Janice and Wilburn Dale. She was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Snapp; and a brother, Johnny Franklin. Memorial services will be 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 11, Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. J.T. Rafferty. Visitation will be after 5:00 p.m. Friday. Memorials are suggested to Hospice Care Center.
