Alvin H. "Mickey" Mynear, 95, of Lexington and formerly of Bourbon County, retired machinist supervisor, U.S. Army veteran of WW II, widower of Lois Yazell Mynear, died Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Homestead Nursing Home. He was born March 13, 1915 in Centerville, son of the late David and Angie Hill Mynear and was a member of the Centerville United Methodist Church. Mickey is survived by a niece, Ruby Stevens, Bourbon County; and a host of great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 29, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Dan Russell with burial in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Jack Fordham, Jr., Andrew Fordham, Willie Padgett, Jim Pry, Dennis Hash, Rick Hash, Sr., Dennis Hinkle, Shane Hinkle, and Chris Jones. Honorary bearers will be Virgil McClain and Thomas Sherlock. Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Thursday. Memorials are suggested to the Homestead Nursing Home Activity Fund, 1608 Versailles Road, Lexington, KY 40504.
