Anna Elaine Florence Cook, 57, of Winchester and formerly of Bourbon County, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Clark Regional Medical Center. She was born June 7, 1953 in Bourbon County, daughter of Betty Hinkle Florence, Bourbon County, and the late Ira Clayton Florence. Anna was a graduate of Bourbon County High School, attended Eastern Kentucky University, and was a member of Clintonville Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Dawn Griffieth Engle; a son, Chris (Wendee) Griffieth, both of Winchester; three grandchildren, Mackenzie Elizabeth Engle, Jackston Scott Engle, Emma Rae Griffieth; a sister, Mary Allen Hedges, Bourbon County; a brother, William Clayton (Willa) Florence, Bourbon County; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 29, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Charles H. Kemp with burial in North Middletown Cemetery. Casket bearers were Allen Hedges, Chad Hedges, Brad Florence, Arick Abney, Shane Stephens, and Carl McGlone. Honorary bearers were Joe Parker, Charles Johnson, Nevin Goeble, Dr. Nicholas Kouns, Dr. Rebecca Bartee, Scott Ware, Shane Ware, and John Elkins.
