Anna Ruth Fletcher Gaunce, 98, retired owner of Gaunce's One Stop in Somerset, Kentucky, widow of Julian M. Gaunce, died Thursday, November 4, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born February 4, 1916 in Harrison County, daughter of the late Mansfield and Rosella Honaker Fletcher. She was a graduate of North Middletown High School and was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Paris. Mrs. Gaunce is survived by a son, Carl "Buddy" (Jean) Gaunce, Somerset; a brother, Robert "Bob" Fletcher, Paris; two grandsons, Kevin (friend, Amy) Gaunce, Tim (Melissa) Gaunce; and three great grandchildren, Jennifer Gaunce, Ryan Gaunce, and Leah Gaunce, all of Somerset. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Phyllis Ann Gaunce, Charlene McKenna; son-in-law, Harry McKenna; brothers, Ray, N.H., Elmer "Bossie", Billy Gene Fletcher; and sisters, Bertie Mason, Helen Stevens, and Lucille Franks. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 6, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Jeff Bell with burial in North Middletown Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12 noon Thursday.
