Anna B. Hopkins, 92, retired employee of the Lexington Signal Depot, widow of Raymond Hopkins, died Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Berea Health Care Center. She was born February 24, 1918 in Morgan County, daughter of the late Kelly and Rosie Lee Van Cleave Barnett, attended Paris schools, and was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) where she belonged to Circle #2. She is survived by three sons, Robert A. (Marilyn) Hopkins, Richmond, Raymond B. (Mary) Hopkins, Jr., Leesburg, AL, Paul (Sonora) Hopkins, Mineral Wells, TX; a granddaughter, Teresa Mieth, Hamilton, OH; two grandsons, Chris and Todd Hopkins, Mineral Wells, TX; two brothers, John Kenney Barnett, Paris, Edward Barnett, Winchester; a sister, Christine Shieflet, Morristown, TN; step mother, Ethel F. Barnett; and several half brothers and half sisters. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 27, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Jeff Bell with burial in the Paris Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Monday.
