Arnold Marion "Chuckie" Pelfrey, 61, Jeffersonville and formerly of Paris, retired U.S. Army National Guard Master Sergeant, husband of Stella Pitts Pelfrey, died Monday, June 7, at his home. He was born November 19, 1948 in Winchester, son of Gladys Young Pelfrey, Paris, and the late Isaac Marion "Ike" Pelfrey. Arnold was a 1967 graduate of Paris High School, a member of the Apostolic Church in Jesus' Name, and had a total of 41 years and four months of military service. He is also survived by four daughters, Aimee Bryant, Lexington, Shellie Bryant, Paris, Tamra Davis, Paris, April Love, Columbus, OH; two sons, Travis Pelfrey, J.R. Pelfrey, both of Paris; three sisters, Sheila (Bud) Clemons, Janice (Larry) Shepherd, Joyce Pelfrey; two brothers, Wayne (Carolyn) Pelfrey, Jerry (Sue) Pelfrey; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Davis; and a stepson, Troy Donnie Pennington. Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Pastor Mickey Cassada. Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday. Inurnment will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 11, in the Machpelah Cemetery in Mt. Sterling.
