Barbara Mae Turner Taylor, Thatchers Mill Road, widow of Wallace Ward Taylor, died Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Bourbon Community Hospital. She was born July 2, 1932 in Paris, daughter of the late Mason and Ida Branham Turner, attended Paris High School, and was a member of North Middletown Christian Church. She is survived by two sons, Don (Patricia) Taylor, Bourbon County, Rodney (Sheila) Taylor, Nicholas County; two grandsons, Matthew Taylor, Nathan Taylor, both of Bourbon County; two sisters, Alfreda (Vernleigh) Morton, Lexington, Carrie Bell Guider, San Antonio, TX; and a sister-in-law, Mary Dell Turner, Paris. She was preceded in death by a son, Wallace Ward Taylor; a brother, Bruce Turner; and three sisters, Edna Wingate, Frances Riddle, and Elizabeth Steele. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 11, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Bob Silvanik with burial in North Middletown Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Terry Turner, Jerry Riddle, James Virgil Reid, Danny Reid, John Rainey, and Bill Dickson. Honorary bearers will be John L. Rainey, Bill Rainey, Betty Allman, Betty Long, Vernleigh Morton, Tony Bohanan, and Thelma Reid. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass or North Middletown Christian Church.
