Betty Jean Abner Case, 64, Winchester, formerly of Paris, retired owner of Case Upholstery of 39 years, widow of former Paris Mayor E.B. "Buddy" Case, died Friday, May 18, 2007 at her home. She was born September 23, 1942 in Estill County, daughter of the late Raymond and Daisy Puckett Abner, graduate of North Middletown High School, and was a member of Central Baptist Church. Mrs. Case is survived by a daughter, DeAnna (George) Boling, Richmond; a son, Edwin B. Case, Winchester; a stepson, Harry T. (Mary Bennett) Case, Paris; two grandchildren, Mason Scott Wiseman, Louisville, Seth Austin Wiseman, Paris; six step grandchildren, Larry George Case, Leslie Case, Susan Prater, Lindsay Moussette, Megan Boling, Kyle Boling; two sisters, Carol Sue (Paige) Stephens, Toccoa, GA, Virginia Gayle (Mike) Modica, Lexington; three brothers, Calvin Ray (Gertrude) Abner, Paris, James (Carolyn) Abner, Southport, NC, and Ray C. (Kathy)Abner, Paris; and other family members, Steve and Mike Ford, Cory, Zach, Josh, Keegan, and Brennalynn Ford, Kayla Ford, and the late Danny Ford. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Eugene and Roy Allen Abner; three sisters, Alberta Jefferson, Linda Gail Spencer, Audrey May Abner; stepson, Larry B. Case; and special friend, Marcus Owen Ford. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 21, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Steve Baker and Rev. Marvin Hatton with interment in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Ray Abner, Jr., Raymond Abner, Chris Modica Rice, Paige Stephens, Jr., Will Daughtery, David Abner, Calvie Abner, and Lewis Abner. Honorary bearers will be nephews, Robbie Worthington, Robin Worthington, James Robert Abner, Greg Jefferson, Jeffery Abner, Kenneth Abner, and Michael Abner. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday.
