Betty Rae Robinson Pierce, 83, a retired registered nurse, widow of Cecil Robinson and Jim Pierce, died Monday, December 15, 2014 at Harrison Memorial Hospital. She was born August 24, 1931 in Bath County, daughter of the late Ollie and Maggie Hurst Sargent. Betty received her nursing degree from the University of Kentucky and was a member of Bedford Acres Christian Church. She is survived by three sons, Robbie R. (Linda) Robinson, Cincinnati, Mark A. Robinson, Raleigh, North Carolina, Dennis K. Robinson, New Jersey; three grandchildren, Ashlee (Austin) Atkins, North Carolina, Erin (Dylan) Reed, Denver, Colorado, Lauren Robinson, Columbus, Ohio; a great granddaughter, Reagan Reed; and a sister, Stella McClure, Lexington, Lexington. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 19, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with burial in Carlisle Cemetery. Her nephews will serve as casket bearers. Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Friday.
