Carolyn Correll, 74, Lexington and formerly of Paris, retired registered nurse, widow of Bernard Lee Correll, died Friday, June 15, 2012 at Central Baptist Hospital. She was born April 23, 1938 in Fayette County, daughter of the late Robert Melvin and Helen Egalite McFadden. Carolyn was a graduate of Cardome Academy in Georgetown and received her nursing degree from Saint Joseph Hospital. She is survived by two sons, Robert David (Diana) Correll, Georgetown, Daniel Lee Correll, Paris; a daughter, Deborah Kay (David) Songstad, Lexington; eight grandchildren, Kayla Songstad, Jake Songstad, Alex Songstad, Daniel Correll Jr., Nick Correll, Zachery Correll, Sara Correll, Samantha Correll; three brothers, Robert McFadden, Ronald Edward (Debbie) McFadden, William Lee McFadden, all of Lexington; three sisters, Helen Finnell, Lexington, Charlotte (Randy) Walters, Bourbon County;, Beverly (Ray) May, Lexington; and special friend, Paul George. She was preceded in death by a sister, Doris O'Nan; and two brothers, Thomas Henry and Kenneth Wayne McFadden. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Dan Russell. Casket bearers will be Zachery Correll, Walter Wilson, Justin Stamper, Ray May, Chris Wilson, Chad Helton, and Tim May. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday.
