Carrie Frances Carpenter, 85 widow of Boyce Carpenter died Sunday January 8, at the residence of her daughter Linda J. Carpenter in Pleasureville, Ky. She was born June 14, 1926 in Montgomery County, daughter of the late John Henry and Stella Reeves Garner. She is also survived by a son Charles H. Carpenter (Sherlinda Brown) Paris; and two sisters, Virgleen G. Wills, Lexington and Lavon G. Gully, Bath Coounty. She was preceded death by a daughter, Patricia Carpenter; a son, Paul Douglas Carpenter; and five brothers Carl, Robert, Russell, Doug and Floyd Garner. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday, January 12, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Travis Sheean with burial in the Carpenter Cemetery in Bath County. Casket bearers will be Dwight Curtis, Dave Gilvin, Gary Wayne Garner, Mike Toy, Michael Toy and Joey Toy. Honorary bearers will be Ryan Roberts, Archie Jay Brown, John Garner, Tim Garner and Donald Garner. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials suggested to Central Baptist Church Building Fund or PAWS.
