Charles Clifton Fryman, 94, retired employee of Hansley Mill and Kentucky Textiles, U.S. Army veteran of World War II, died Saturday, December 26, 2015 at the VA Medical Center on Leestown Road. He was born September 21, 1921 in Bourbon County, son of the late William Everett Fryman Sr. and Jessie Lee Fish Worthington, attended Paris High School, and was a life member of the DAV Chapter 12. Charles is survived by his wife of 74 years, Dorothy Smoot Fryman; a daughter, Kathy Fryman Harris; five grandchildren, Dwayne Fryman, Brandon Fryman, Victoria Garrison, Eric Thornsburg, Lauren Clarke; five great grandchildren; a half-sister, Betty Dennis; and two half-brothers, Douglas Raymond Fryman and William Thomas Fryman. A son, Darryl Wayne Fryman, and a grandson, Darren Wayne Fryman, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Pastor Jeremiah Johnson with burial in Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be E.J. Caswell, Eric Thornsburg, Tim Sexton, Ron Mingua, Raymond Douglas Fryman, and James Thomas Fryman. Honorary bearers will be Larry Stone, Don Clark, Randy Fisher, Curtis Mackley, and Tim Sanders. Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
