Charles Richard "Bugs" Hinkle, 63, Plum Lick Road, husband of Beverly Hudson Hinkle, died Friday, December 10, 2010 at his home. He was born March 16, 1947 in Paris, son of the late Charles Ray and Hazel Curtis Hinkle, a graduate of Bourbon County High School and attended Morehead State University. He served as Bourbon County Sheriff of eight years, as Bourbon County Judge Executive for 13 years, and was a salesman for Dotson Brothers. He was a member and former deacon of the Little Rock Christian Church, a member and Past Grand Master of Hope Lodge #246, F&AM, Little Rock, a member of Watson Lodge #32 IOOF, Mt. Sterling, and was a Kentucky Colonel. He is also survived by a son, Allen (Jessica) Hinkle; a grandson, Christopher Allen Hinkle; two granddaughters, Palyn Hinkle, Brianne Hinkle; two sisters, Beverly (John O.) Smits, Charlene (Jeff D.) Gilvin, all of Bourbon County; his mother and father-in-law, Mayme and Bush Hudson, Montgomery County; a brother-in-law, Steve (Ramona) Hudson, Bourbon County; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Barry Hudson. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 14, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Rex Graham and Re. Chuck Perry with burial in the Machpelah Cemetery, Mt. Sterling. Casket bearers Ronnie Johnson, Charles Johnson, Rodney Dotson, Jim Alexander, Dan Thompson, and Carl McGlothin. Honorary bearers will be David Dotson, Greg Dotson, Rufus Hartman, Donald Stamper, John Ransdell, Roy Gaunce, Jason Dotson, Kenny Dampier, Pete Wyatt, Larry Stone, Bill Stull, Jim Woodrum, Billy Jordan, Paul Lyons, and the Morehead State University Group. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday with Masonic services at 8:00 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass or one's favorite cancer fund.
