Clarence E. Crawford, 90, Bourbon Heights, died Sunday, December 16, 2007 at Bourbon Community Hospital. He was born September 3, 1917 in Bourbon County, son of the late Robert and Maud Southerland Crawford, and was a member of First Christian Church. Clarence was a U.S. Army veteran of W.W. II serving as a medic, a Purple Heart recipient, and had been told that he was the last living soldier to have daily contact with Gen. George Patton. He is survived by a brother, Leslie Crawford, AZ; a nephew, David Crawford, Paris; and special friends, Frances Druen, Paris, and Billy Cameron, Nicholas County. A memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 20, at the First Christian Church by Rev. Jeff Bell. Inurnment will be in the Paris Cemetery.
