Clyde Thomas Rainey, Jr., 60, Sunny Hill Drive, North Middletown, a retired Toyota supervisor, US Army veteran of the Vietnam War and recipient of the Purple Heart, husband of Patricia Lynn Jones Rainey, died Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at the Bourbon Community Hospital. He was born October 22, 1949 in Bourbon County, son of Geneva Mae Smith Rainey, Winchester, and the late Clyde Thomas Rainey, Sr., a graduate of Bourbon County High School, and was a member of the North Middletown Christian Church. In addition to his wife and mother, Clyde is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Lynn Rainey (Michael Joshua) Brown, Ohio; a son, Brian Van Thomas Rainey, Eddyville, KY; three grandchildren, Miranda Page Brown, Johnathon Joseph Brown, Shane Michael Brown; three sisters, Alice Marie (Larry) Oliver, Kaye (Larry) Webb, Joyce Ann Ballinger; two nieces, Tessie Marie Abner, Tonia Marie Dale; a nephew, Brad Thomas Ballinger; two uncles, Billy (Linda) Rainey, Bobby (Diana) Rainey; and an aunt, Betty Stamper. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 21, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. J.T. Rafferty with burial in the North Middletown Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Leroy Morrow, David Orendor, Will Allen, Wayne Saylor, Cecil Foley, and Brad Biddle. Honorary bearers will be Tommy Jackson, Billy Rainey, Bobby Rainey, Jerry Rainey, Larry Webb, Larry Oliver, Joe Elvove, and Michael Joshua Brown. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday.
