Currency M. Ritchie, Jr., 81, High Street, retired farmer, U.S. Army veteran of W.W. II, husband of Pinkie Ritchie, died Monday, September 3, 2007 at the VA Medical Center. He was born November 22, 1925 in Bourbon County, son of the late Currency M. and Aleen Richardson Ritchie, and was a graduate of Clintonville School. Mr. Ritchie is also survived by six sons, Phillip (Faye) Ritchie, Paris, James Ritchie, Paris, Nick (Merl) Ritchie, Winchester, David (Lisa) Ritchie, Paris, Billy Ritchie, Nicholasville, Robert (Grace) Ritchie, North Middletown; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and three great, great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 6, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with interment in Evergreen Memory Gardens. His sons will serve as casket bearers. Visitation will be after 12 noon Thursday.
