Cynthia Ann Day, 93, Brookstone Drive, widow of Floyd Day, died Monday, August 27, 2007 at her home. She was born September 14, 1913 in Knott County, daughter of the late Hardin and Hattie Slone. Mrs. Day is survived by four daughters, Bobbie (Harold) Parsons, Paris, Rosellen (Bobby) Hampton, Austin, TX, Mary Jane Combs, Winchester, Cathy (Jeff) Mitchell, Cynthiana; two sons, David (Dovie) Day, Paris, Tommy (Lynn) Day, Nicholasville; and 104 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mable Link, and a son, Charles Day. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 30, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Sylvester Sanders with interment in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Michael Day, Martie Day, Glenn Combs, Wayne Martin, Jimmy Martin, and Mark Day. Honorary bearers will be Tommy Day, Jr., Buddy McIntyre, Dr. James L. Ferrell, Rusty Parsons, Ricky Parsons, and Keith Palmer. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
