Delta Rose Vice McCracken, 79, Arlington Drive, retired registered nurse, died Sunday, January 30, 2011 at the Hospice Care Center. She was born March 5, 1931 in Winchester, daughter of the late Bruce L. Vice Sr. and Ethel Mae Combs Vice, a graduate of Mount Sterling High School and the St. Joseph School of Nursing, attended Bethel Junior College in Hopkinsville, and was a member of the First Church of God. She is survived by a son, Gary D. (Karen) McCracken, Lawrenceburg; a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Wayne McCord, Paris; four grandchildren, Melissa Bretz, Julie M Asbury, Lucas McCracken, Audrey Rose McCracken; six great grandchildren, Michael Logan Bretz, Brandon Cain Bretz, Roland Underwood, Xena Underwood, Stephen Lane Asbury, Christin Asbury; and a half-sister, Lela Faye Stromenger, Lexington. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bruce Vice Jr., Austin Combs Vice; a step sister, Gayle Wingett; and her stepmother, Nannie K. Vice. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 3, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Timothy W. Pierce and Rev. Karen McCracken with burial in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Jeff Asbury, Tony Asbury, Brandon Bretz, Gary McCracken, Mike Duffy, and Jason Brown. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.
