Dorothy Fenwick Boling, 94, widow of Harry Huffman Boling, died on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at Bourbon Heights, Inc. She was the daughter of the late William R. and Anna Hall Fenwick of Paris. She had been a member of First Baptist Church since 1923 and served as a dedicated servant to the Lord and His Church as pianist and organist from 1941 to 1990. Mrs. Boling was associated with the music program under twelve pastors. The church honored her on June 3, 1990 for her many years of dedication. Dr. Howard Beauman wrote in a church bulletin "Dorothy Boling has given many faithful years of service to her Lord at First Baptist Church. She has used her gift of playing the organ as an offering to God. Dorothy is such a joyful Christian lady. She has such a glow that is easily caught." She continued her musical ability at Bourbon Heights and played the piano for many events. She also was a member of Bourbon County Parkway Homemakers as well as other organizations. Survivors are a daughter, Charlotte Boling Rees and son-in-law, Gayle H. Rees; a daughter-in-law, Sallie Beam Boling, Versailles; eight grandchildren, Jon Rhodes Rees (Kelley) Jacksonville, FL, Julie Rees Day (Jeff), Lexington, Jane Rees Moore (Kevin), Crittenden, Jennifer Lynn Rees, Somerset, Jimmy Boling (Nancy), Lexington, Jeff Boling (Teressa), Crestwood, Gennie Bridwell (Todd) Edgewood, Kevin Franck (Ronda), Lawrenceburg; one brother, Melvin Fenwick (Sarah) Louisville; and a sister-in-law, Catherine Boling, Paris. She was preceded in death by a son, Harry Gardner Boling. She is survived by 20 great grandchildren, Rachele, Jon David, and Reagan Rees, Lauren and Hunter Henrickson, Jake and Kelsey Moore, Brandon, Brady, Chase, Chaney, Carter, Brooke, Jon Thomas, Janae, and Ethan Boling, Megan, Will, and Emily Franck, and Krissie Brandenburg. She was preceded in death by one great granddaughter, Katie Brandenburg. Friends may call at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home in Paris from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 2. The funeral will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, by Rev. Don Reed and Dr. Howard Beauman with visitation at 1:00 p.m. before the funeral. Burial will follow in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Jon Rees, Jimmy Boling, Jeff Boling, Kevin Franck, Kevin Moore, and Jeff Day. Honorary bearers will be members or former members of the choir of First Baptist Church. The family thanks nurses and aides who helped take care of her along with the family.
