Dorothy Shaw Cooke, 86, South Main Street, retired Kentucky Bank employee, widow of Herman P. Cooke, died Monday, June 11, 2007. She was born September 28, 1920 in Nicholas County, daughter of the late George Calvert and Nellie Cassidy Shaw, and was a member of the North Middletown Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Cooke is survived by a son, Gerald David (Connie) Cooke, Paris; and six grandchildren, Kevin (Lois) Cooke, Paris, Karen (Timmy) Baker, Paris, Vickie (Bruce) Cleary, Georgetown, Margie Zakhour, South Carolina, Crickett Smith, Illinois, and George Cooke. She was preceded in death by two sons, George and Darryl Cooke. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Brenda Routt with interment in the North Middletown Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Kevin Cooke, Tim Baker, Stanley Garrison, Ben Cooke, Robert Cooke, and B.J. Cleary. T.J. Baker will serve as honorary bearer. Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday.
