Doyle Thompson Harrell, age 73, of Paris, retired IBM employee, U.S. Army veteran, passed away Friday, November, 23, 2007 at the Hospice Care Center. He was born July 4, 1934 in Middlesboro, Kentucky and was the son of the late James Luther and Sallie Minerva Overholt Harrell. Doyle was a member of Binghamtown Baptist Church in Middlesboro. He is survived by two daughters, Shonia Honican, Paris, Shanda (Brad) Schlagenhauf, Fort Collins, CO; four grandsons, Timothy Honican, Matthew Honican, both of Paris, Adam Schlagenhauf, Derek Schlagenhauf, both of Fort Collins, CO; one sister, Grace (Cecil) Ingram, Winchester; one brother, Kenneth Harrell, Dayton, OH; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Sandra Johnson Harrell; three sisters, Beverly Inman, Katherine Brown, Dorothy "Jenny" Carter; and four brothers, Luther Junior Harrell, Edward Sheafer Harrell, Homer Ray Harrell, and Hollis Fred Harrell. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 29, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
