Edgar Lee "Rusty" Rust, Jr., 74, Robin Road, owner of Rust Oil Company, widower of Roberta Brooks Rust, died Saturday, July 25, 2009 at the Bourbon Community Hospital. He was born January 5, 1935 in Fayette County, son of the late Edgar Lee and Ada Walton
Rust, Sr., a graduate of Henry Clay High School, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Rusty is survived by sisters-in-law, Geri (Virgil) Slone, Betty (Harry) Clark, Jeanette Faulconer, Phyllis Jones, Deloris Brooks; a brother-in-law, Larry (Donna) Brooks; special friends Jerry and Barbara Wagoner; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Charles H. Kemp and Dr. William A. Curwood with burial in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Casket bearers will be Bobby Clark, Mike Faulconer, Gary Haynes, Jerry Wagoner, Jay Perkins, Darrell Leggett, Raymond Wheeler, and Kevin Collins. Honorary bearers will be Brian Brooks, Gary Webb, Mike Thornton, Leroy Linville, Lloyd Feddars, Wayne West, Steve West, Ronnie Brown, Todd Earlywine, Chuck Burke, and David Wagoner. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
