Elizabeth Ann Chanslor, 73, Peacock Road, wife of Ronald Chanslor, died Friday, January 12, 2007 at the Hospice Care Center. She was born June 14, 1933 in Bourbon County, daughter of the late Opal and Lena Cook Brooks and was a graduate of Bourbon County High School. Mrs. Chanslor was well known for her candy making, served over 30 years as a tax preparer, attended First Church of God and Ruddles Mills Christian Church, and was active in the Christian Women's Club and Ruddles Fort Homemakers. She is also survived by three sons, Sam (Melanie) Chanslor, Millersburg, Lee (Jane) Chanslor, Paris, Doug (Tonia) Chanslor, Winchester; five grandchildren, Rebecca Chanslor, Jonathan Chanslor, Jessica Chanslor, Alexis Chanslor, Caleb Chanslor; and several cousins. Three infant brothers preceded her in death. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 16, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Charles Shrewbury and Rev. John McGuire with interment in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be David Mefford, E. J. Caswell, Bill Tipton, George Lee Cunningham, Ray Brannock, Isaac Ray Keller, Bill Rawlings, and Jimmy Brooks. Honorary bearers will be Frances Love, Ron Bailey, and the Ruddles Fort Homemakers. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday. Memorial contributions are suggested to Ruddles Mills Christian Church or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
