Elizabeth Stipp Eads, widow of James M. Eads, died Friday, November 30, 2007 at Paris, Kentucky. She was born November 17, 1920 in Paris, daughter of the late John Bowen and Ida Mae Erion Stipp. She is survived by her five children, Barbara (the late Oakley) Underwood, Helen (Jim) Hague, James Bowen (Carol) Eads, Tommy (the late Linda Wells) Eads, Richard (Deanna) Eads; 13 grandchildren, Keith (Marcy) Underwood, Richard Underwood, Mike (Becky) Hague, Tommy (Mary) Hague, Betsy (Bobby) Smith, Jonna (Scottie) Perdue, Stacy (Chad) Heilig, Kaye (John) Dishman, David (Cathy) Eads, Jason Eads, Matthew (Leila) Eads, Lisa (David) Bretz, Amanda Fletcher; a sister, Sarah Liver; 23 great grandchildren; and one great, great grandchild. When she raised her family, she worked at home by making cookies, candy pudding, peanut butter roll, and cottage cheese for the Ladies Exchange. She was a nurse-aide at the old Bourbon County Hospital, an assistant for Drs. Cantrell, Dillon, Cox, and West until she retired at 77 years old. She loved to travel with the Homemakers and one year she was elected "Homemaker of the Year". She was a lifetime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Paris, a member of Circle 3, the Presbyterian Women, and the American Legion Post 30 Auxiliary. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 3, at the First Presbyterian Church by Rev. John Rogers with interment in the Clintonville Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Mike Hague, Tommy Hague, Keith Underwood, Richard Underwood, David Eads, Jason Eads, Matt Eads, and Eugene Thomas. Honorary bearers will be Gayle Liver, George Wigglesworth, Jimmy Kelly, Dr. C. Ray Young, Dr. Jeff Green, Dr. Oscar Perez, and Dr. Nathan Moore. Visitation will be Sunday, 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home and 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Paris, PO Box 321, Paris, KY, 40362-0312.
