Elizabeth Franklin Logan, 87, North Middletown, widow of Edwin H. Logan, died Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Bourbon Community Hospital. She was born March 3, 1923 in Bourbon County, daughter of the late Curtis and Blanche Franklin, attended North Middletown School, and was a member of Spears Mill Baptist Church. She is survived by a brother, James (Jean) Franklin; a sister-in-law, Betty Franklin; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Franklin Logan; a brother, Johnny Franklin; and two sisters, Louise Snapp and Alberta McKenzie. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 20, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. J.T. Rafferty with burial in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Kenny Franklin, Phillip Franklin, John Sidney Franklin, John Thomas, Wayne Caywood, Henry Myers, Wayne Myers, and Sam Lanter. Honorary bearers will be Shea Scenters, Eddie Barnett, Tommy Scott, Rick Claypool, Mary Winn Franklin, Martha L. Scenters, Jamie Scenters, Mike Scenters, Harold King, Jane Gann, Lynn Scott, and Vanessa North. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials are suggested to Spears Mill Baptist Church.
