Elmeta Buckler Coughlin, 86, widow of George Edward Coughlin, Sr., died Monday, November 30, 2009 at the Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home. She was born March 23, 1923 in Paris, daughter of the late Nathan Leslie and Fannie Mae Blevins Buckler and was a member of Central Baptist Church and Rose Rebekah Lodge #7. Elmeta is survived by a daughter, Rebecca "Becky" (Charles) Soli, Paris; a son, George E. Coughlin, Jr., Carlisle; four grandchildren, Timothy Hurst, Lafe Hurst, Melody Graves, April Hutchison; four God children, Gwendolyn Ann Buckler, John Allen Buckler, David Wesley Buckler, Thomas Clay Buckler; two sisters, Rosa Poynter, Ruth Burke; and several very special nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 4, at the Central Baptist Church by Rev. Dan Russell. Inurnment will be in the Paris Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Central Baptist Church Building Fund or Special Olympics, 105 Lakeview Court, Frankfort, KY 40601.
