Geraldine O'Banion Summay, 84, Trigg Street, Millersburg, a retired Bourbon County educator and Board of Education member, and beloved wife of Warren Stanton Summay, died Wednesday, October 3, 2007. Geraldine and Stanton enjoyed 64 blessed years of marriage together. She was born September 16, 1923 in Georgetown, daughter of the late Everett and Jessie Towles O'Banion, a graduate of Georgetown High School, attended Georgetown College, and was a graduate of the University of Kentucky. She was a member of the Millersburg Baptist Church where she led the singing, a member of the Millersburg Garden Club, and served as the first choir director at the Central Baptist Church, Paris. Geraldine was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and a devoted servant and follower of Jesus Christ, her Saviour. She is also survived by a daughter, Lee Anne (Robert) Boswell, Florence; a son, Stanton Dean Summay, Millersburg; four grandchildren, Deren Lee (Adam Wesley) Worrell, Ft. Worth, TX, Anne Derrick (Nicholas James) Kemphaus, Ludlow, KY, Paul Robert Boswell, III, Barrett Landon Boswell, both of Florence; and a sister, Kathleen King, Franklin, TN. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 6, at the Millersburg Baptist Church by Rev. Dale Gatewood with interment in the Millersburg Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Bill Harney, Robert Boswell, III, Barrett Boswell, Si Cleaver, Robert Boswell, Jr., Adam Worrell, and Nicholas Kemphaus. Honorary bearers will be Patrick McKnight, John Ott, Jr., and James E. Wagoner. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, Paris. Memorials are suggested to the Millersburg Baptist Church, P.O. Box 426, Millersburg, KY 40348.
