Gladys Mildred Jones, 83, Meadow Lane, Lexington, retired Central Baptist Hospital employee, died Thursday, October 9, 2008 at St. Joseph East Hospital. She was born February 7, 1925 in Bourbon County, daughter of the late John Samuel and Gladys Garrison Jones. Survivors include a sister, Ruby Jones Merriman; a brother, Kenneth Wayne (Virginia) Jones, both of Lexington; and two sisters-in-law, Nettie Mann Jones, Ekron, KY, and Betty Heflin Jones, Cynthiana. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Logan Jones, J.S. Jones; and a sister, Gertrude Haggard. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with burial in the Paris Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12 noon Tuesday.
