Glenn Ray Florence Sr., 75, a farmer, husband of Fannie Wagoner Florence, died Friday, May 8, 2015 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center, Maysville. He was born January 18, 1940 in Bourbon County, son of the late Bernice Paxton and Lillian Barkley Franklin Florence, a graduate of Bourbon County High School, and was a member of Shawhan Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Glenn Ray is survived by a son, Glenn Ray (Rebecca) Florence, Scott County; a daughter, Donna Florence, Lexington; grandson, Gavin Florence; brother, Larry (Linda) Florence, Bourbon County; and two nephews, Daniel and Brent Florence. Funeral services will be 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. George Combest. Inurnment will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Honorary bearers will be Bruce Cox, Kevin Ellington, Jim Ellington, Leroy Crow, Paul Wayne Ellington, Jamie Ellington, Bobby Clines, Frank Powers, Billy Wyatt, Walter Stephanski, and Harry Sargent. Visitation will be after 3:00 p.m. Wednesday.
