Harry G. Campbell, 89, Winchester Street, retired Liggett and Myers employee, widower of Irene Helen Spivey Campbell, died Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Bourbon Heights. He was born June 21, 1921 in Orangeburg, KY, son of the late David Franklin and Anna Frances Lukins Campbell and was a graduate of Orangeburg High School. Harry was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in General George S. Patton's tank division. He was co-owner of Campbell's in Paris Restaurant, a former Paris Independent School bus driver, and was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Harry is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Anne Campbell; a granddaughter, Myra Nicole (Jeffery) Miller, both of Paris; a sister, Anna Frances Betz; and a brother, Arthur W. Campbell, both of Ohio. He was preceded in death by a twin brother, Harold Campbell; brothers, David F. Campbell, Chalmer Campbell; and sisters, Virginia Landreth, Iola London, and Myra Louise Campbell. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the First Christian Church. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, Alzheimer's Association, or the First Christian Church Kitchen Renovation Fund.
