Helen Lawrence Hamrick, Parrish Avenue, a retired inspector for Bluegrass Textiles, widow of Jack D. Hamrick, died Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Bourbon Community Hospital. She was born in Carlisle, KY, daughter of the late Bruce and Mary Swim Lawrence, a graduate of Paris High School, member of First United Methodist Church, and volunteered at the Bargain Box for over 20 years. Helen is survived by three daughters, Bonnie (Billy) Waugh, Paris, Carol Jarrell, Georgetown, Ruby (Wayne) Wagoner, Paris; a son, Daniel (Page) Hamrick, Paris; a sister, June (Bud) Talbot, Bourbon County; two brothers, Charles (Patty) Lawrence, Danville, Frank S. (Polly) Lawrence, North Middletown; an aunt, Martha Bea McCann, Paris; 14 grandchildren, Robbie (Elizabeth) Waugh, Wendy Waugh, Michelle (Dean) Wagoner Blackburn, Crissy (Roger) Wagoner Wilburn, Michael (Jennifer) Wagoner, David Boggess, Brandy Jarrell, Tiffany Jarrell, Russell Jarrell, Danielle (Jonathan) Hamrick St. Amant, Jacob Hamrick, Katie Hamrick; 10 great grandchildren, Carson Waugh, Hollie Arnold, Dakota Blackburn, Kaly & Tylan Wilburn, Brynnlee & Rylee Wagoner, Aaron & Jayden Gregoire, Alexis St. Amant; and a special friend, Elizabeth Newman. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 13, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Marion Snapp and Rev. Gaylord Gillispie with burial in Carlisle Cemetery. Casket bearers will be her grandsons, Robert Daniel Waugh, David Boggess, Michael Wagoner, Russell Jarrell, Jacob Hamrick, Bruce Lawrence, and Mark Lawrence. Visitation will be 5:00 t0 8:00 p.m. Monday. Memorials are suggested to Markey Cancer Center or Hospice of the Bluegrass. www.hinton-turnerfuneralhome.com
