Herbert H. Gilkison, 74, Frankfort, formerly of Paris, U.S. Army veteran, a self employed HVAC installer, died Sunday March 4, 2007 at his residence. He was born March 3, 1933 in Lewis County, son of the late Jack and Stella Maude Bennett Gilkison and was a member of VFW Post #4075, Frankfort, Kentucky. Mr. Gilkison is survived by three sons, William H. Gilkison and his girlfriend Sue Reed, Bourbon County, Herbert H. Gilkison, Jr., Lexington, Anthony Wayne Gilkison, Lexington; a daughter, Dorothy (Billy) Barnett, Paris; two sisters; and four brothers. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, graveside at Evergreen Memory Gardens by Rev. Harland Gibson. Visitation will be 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home.
