James Earl Travis Fryman, 25, Lower Concord Road, Carlisle, a paramedic with the Portsmouth, Ohio EMS, died Saturday, January 26, 2008. He was born August 19, 1982 in Cynthiana, son of Rickey and Mavis Williams Fryman, Paris, and was a member of Central Baptist Church. Travis was a 2000 graduate of Bourbon County High School, received his EMT certification with the Jessamine County EMS in 2001, his paramedic certification with the Fleming County EMS in 2007, and had worked with both the Paris and Nicholas County Fire Departments. In addition to his parents, he is survived by maternal grandparents, Earl and Ann Williams, Carlisle; paternal grandmother, Betty Fryman, Carlisle, two special friends, Amy Gessford, Atlanta, Emily Morguson, Paris; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James Fryman. Funeral services with full firefighter honors will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January, 29, at the Central Baptist Church, Paris, by Rev. Dan Russell with burial in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Jonathan Ott, Nelson Sewell, Adam Tubbs, Robbie Biddle, Jim Biddle, T.J. Warder, Jordan Williams, and Kelly Jones. Honorary bearers will be members of the Portsmouth, Ohio EMS, Nicholas County EMS, Paris Fire Department, and the members of Bourbon County High School Class of 2000. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the church.
