Jan McKinley Ewalt, 49, Lexington, formerly of Paris, an insurance agent, died Saturday, July 11, 2009 at the Hospice Care Center. She was born December 7, 1959 in Paris, daughter of the late J. Frank and Louise Martin Ewalt. Jan was a 1978 graduate of Bourbon County High School and was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) where she was a Deacon and member of the Membership Committee. She is survived by two sisters, her twin sister, Joan Martin Ewalt, Paris, Jane Ewalt Gray, Lexington; two brothers, Joe F. Ewalt, III, John M. (Kendra) Ewalt, both of Paris; five nieces; and a nephew. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 16, at the First Christian Church by Rev. Travis Cook. Casket bearers will be Mike Hostetter, Gene Ewalt, Ed Marcum, Dan Williams, Cullen Bailey, Bobby Brown, Ronnie Yazell, and Ted Kuster. Honorary bearers will be Cheryl Altizer, Sue Coles, Jude Marcum, Paula Marcum, Lucy Marsh, Ted Mims, and the Hospice of the Bluegrass Fuchsia Team. Visitation will be after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the church. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass or the First Christian Church Building Fund.
