Jane E. Lykins, 85, of Bourbon Acres, retired business owner, widow of Donald O. Lykins, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 23, 2007. She was a native of Woodford County, daughter of the late Raymond and Eula Littrell Etherington, graduated from Henry Clay High School, and had been a resident of Bourbon County the past 64 years. She was a dedicated Christian and active member of the Central Baptist Church in Paris, KY. For many years, Jane was actively involved with her husband in the Bunny Martin and Bill Glass Ministries. She had also been president of the Gideons Ministry in Lexington. Survivors are two sons, David (Dayna) Lykins and Maurice (Bonnie) Lykins, along with eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lillian Morrow. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 26, at the Central Baptist Church by Bro. Dan Russell with burial in the Paris Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the church. Casket bearers will be Kelly Lykins, Ryan Lykins, Bill Sprinkle, Jim Jones, Jim Florence, Ed Fitzpatrick, and Maurice Lykins. Honorary bearers will be Lexington East Gideons and Auxiliary, John and Louise Ott, her Sunday School Class, Ernie Trosper, Bro. Bill and Genny Jones, Eloise Letton, Liz Rose, Betty Barnes, Wanda Sprinkle, Mission Circle, and Mike and Judy Horne. Memorials are suggested to the Central Baptist Church Building Fund.
