Jerry Wayne Long, 57, Brent Street, Claiborne Farm night watchman and former Ladish Corporation employee with 31 years of service, husband of Joyce Arnold Long, died Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at the St. Joseph Hospital. He was born November 28, 1949 in Bourbon County, son of the late Virgil Estes and Elsie Ruth Hedges Long, a graduate of Paris High School, and was a member of Central Baptist Church. Jerry is also survived by a son, Randy Wayne Long; a brother, James (Ann) Long; and six sisters, Betty (Cecil) Reinsmith, Fannie (Bernard) Reinsmith, Mary (Jimmy) Dampier, Phyllis (Roy) Courtney, Brenda (Rex) Cook, all of Paris, and Sue (Wayne) Jones, Cynthiana. A sister, Connie Long Clem, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 1, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Dan Russell with interment in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Billy Biddle, Josh Arnold, Wayne Reinsmith, Joshua Byrd, Robert Caudill, Michael Courtney, Fred Hearn, Tony Asbury, Sr., Roy Courtney, and Gary Arnold. Honorary bearers will be Larry Joe Tipton, Cecil Reinsmith, Rex Cook, Justin Stamper, Jimmy Dampier, Wayne Jones, Larry Abney, Joe Herrington, and James Long. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday.
