Jody McClure Hay, 49, of Paris, KY, the loving father of Danielle (Ian) and Breanne (Steven) Hay and proud grandfather of Braxton Lee Kendall, died Monday, September 14, 2009 at the Central Baptist Hospital. He was born January 17, 1960 in Georgetown, KY to Alice Sims Hay, Paris, and the late Billy McClure Hay. Jody graduated from Bourbon County High School in 1978. He was self employed as a furniture and floor restorer and finisher, as well as a life long member of Silas Baptist Church. In addition to his daughters, grandson, and mother he is survived by his sisters, Joy (Mike) Dyer of Harrison County, Vicki (Keith) Honley of Scott County; his brother, Scotty (Angie) Hay of Bourbon County; nephews, Mike (Mary) Dyer, Jr., Derek Honley, Christopher Hay; nieces, Amanda and Lauren Dyer, Nikki and Tiffany Honley, Makenzie Hay; special friend Steve Pelley; as well as several grand nieces and grand nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 18, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Sam Harris with burial in the Jacksonville Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Mike Dyer, Jr., Derek Honley, Barry Hay, Larry Hay, Bobby Herrington, Mark Breen, David Fletcher, and Ronnie Hay. Honorary bearers will be Mike Dyer, Keith Honley, and Steve Pelley. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
