Johnny Berry, 96, a retired cosmetologist and realtor, widow of Mike Berry, died Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Cedar Ridge Health Campus. She was born January 1, 1918 in Bracken County, daughter of the late James L. and Mennie Fields Jennett. Johnny was a graduate of Bracken County High School, Manning's Beauty School, and Fugazzi School of Realtors. She was a devoted member of the Catholic Church of the Annunciation and was owner of Johnny's Beauty Salon in Carlisle and Paris for over sixty-five years. Johnny is survived by a son, Doug Lowry II; a grandson, Chad Lowry, Lexington; two great granddaughters, Bailey and Whitney Lowry, Lexington; and a special friend, Gloria Florence, Paris. A memorial mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, at the Catholic Church of the Annunciation by Rev. Danny Fister. Inurnment will be in the Carlisle Cemetery.
