Josephine Jefferson Taylor, 94, a retired licensed practical nurse, widow of James B. Taylor, died Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Bourbon Heights. She was born August 19, 1916 in Clark County, daughter of the late Jesse and Charlotte Richardson Jefferson and was a member of Centerville United Methodist Church. She is survived by three daughters, Bonnie (Maurice) Lykins, Paris, Susan (Bascom) Horn, Lexington, Sally (Wesley) Thurmond, Stamping Ground; a son, Joseph (Bonnie) Taylor, Bourbon County; a sister, Ruth Liter, Paris; two brothers, Roy Lee Jefferson, Gary (Debbie) Jefferson, both of Paris; a foster daughter, Ellen Kessler, Frankfort; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, JoAnn Gibson; two sisters, Ruby Edgington, Evelyn Weigott; and a brother, Donald Jefferson. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 5, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Kenney Edgington and Hospice Chaplain David Carper with burial in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Jonathan Horn, Taylor Thurmond, Ryan Lykins, Kelly Lykins, Larry Lucas, Doug McBrayer, Jeff Weigott, Bobby Weigott, Stephen Edgington, Steve Brown, and Gregory Liter. Honorary bearers will be John Corcella, Maurice Lykins, Bascom Horn, Wesley Thurmond, Virgil McClain, and Helen Hannan.
