Josephine Godridge Harborne Turner, 88, Main Street, Millersburg, retired legal secretary, widow of Robert Leer Turner, died Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Bourbon Heights. She was born January 29, 1922 in Pittsburgh, PA, daughter of the late Thomas and Mabel Godridge Harborne, a graduate of Lafayette High School, and was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church and a former member of the Millersburg Garden Club and Millersburg 20th Century Club. She is survived by a daughter, Melanie Harborne Turner, Millersburg; two sons, David Leer (Marty) Turner, Lexington, Robert Guy Turner, Carlisle; four grandchildren, Clay Turner, Brack Turner, Alexander Robert Turner, Koby Jo Turner; and a sister, Marjorie Harborne Castillo, Oceanside, CA. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 25, at St. Peter's Episcopal Church by The Reverend Nancy Stone Farley with burial in the Millersburg Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Frank Curci, Dick Letton, John Smoot, Castle Redmon, David Garrett, and Guy Ormsby. Honorary bearers will be Russell Clayton, Robert Kirkpatrick, Stanton Summay, James P. Ansbro, James T. Ansbro, Moffett Clark, James Prater, Jeff Layson, Harold Letton, Rev. John Akers, and Rev. Cliff Pike. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home. The family expresses special thanks to the Bourbon Heights staff for the loving care and to the Bourbon County Senior Citizens Center staff and friends. Memorials are suggested to St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Bourbon County Senior Citizens Center or PAWS.
