Kathleen Allen Rankin, 81, Rio Vista Drive, retired licensed practical nurse, wife of Marion \"Buddy\" Rankin, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Central Baptist Hospital. She was born October 17, 1930 in Brown County, Ohio, daughter of the late William Austin and Anna Mae Crump Earlywine and was a member of Ruddles Mill Christian Church. Kathleen worked as a nurse for the Massie Memorial Hospital, Bourbon County Hospital, and Bourbon Community Hospital with over 40 years of employment. She is also survived by a son, Garey W. Allen, Paris; three grandchildren, Christopher Todd Allen, Florida, Ashley Allison Allen, Lexington, Brock Woodford Allen, Paris; three great granddaughters, Alexandria Mae Allen, Kelsi Brook Allen, Haley Jane Allen; two sisters, Phyllis Judy, Wanda Earlywine; and two brothers, Terry Earlywine and William H. Earlywine. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Woodford \"Woody\" Allen; and a son, Kenneth Brown Allen. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 25, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. John McGuire with burial in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Casket bearers will be Todd Allen, Brock Allen, Ronnie Eads, Gary Earlywine, Greg Earlywine, Frank Toll, and Dr. James L. Ferrell. Honorary bearers will be Jeff Coburn, and her great granddaughters. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday.
