Keller Rankin Brannock, 79, of Paris, KY died Monday, August 24, 2009. Born in Bourbon County, Keller was preceded in death by his loving wife Doris Jean "Toadie" Larkin Brannock and his parents George Bell and Mary Thom Dailey Brannock. Keller was an Airman First Class during the Korean War, was a Highway Supervisor with Hinkle Contracting Corporation for 36 years, was an auctioneer with McConnell Real Estate, Inc, a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Paris Lodge #2, F&AM, and Paris City Club, and a Kentucky Colonel. Keller loved his family and friends, was a cowboy at heart, loved country music, took pride in his work, and enjoyed sitting on his front porch. His humor and quick grin will be missed by those who loved him. Keller is survived by a daughter, Sheila B. (Bill T.) McConnell of Paris, KY; a son, Kavin Carson (Tami) Brannock of Merritt Island, FL; six grandchildren, William Scott (Alexandra) McConnell, Somerset, NJ, Matthew Rankin (Amy) McConnell and Todd Carson McConnell all of Paris, KY, Airman Jeremy Brannock of Shaw AFB, SC, Tifini McKeever and Joshua Franks, both of Merritt Island, FL; great grandchildren Kaitlyn and Tiara; a sister, Lilly Carol Woolwine of Orange Park, FL; J.T. Brannock of Paris, KY; and numerous nieces and nephews. Keller was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Elizabeth Bailey and a brother, George William Brannock. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 28, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, Pleasant Street, Paris, KY by Rev. Donavan Cain. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 27 at the funeral home with Masonic Services at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Paris Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jim Blackwell, Dennis Brooks, Bob Lehmann, Charlie Collins, Bob Markham, and Owen Yocum. Honorary bearers will be Katie Shriver, Cydney Horne, Hospice Ivory Team, and Bourbon Heights Staff. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 1317 US Hwy 62 East, Cynthiana, KY 41031 or P.A.W.S.
