Lajuanna Jo "Jodie" Lawson, 63, LaRue Road, an accountant for Harbor Steel and Supply, wife of Danny Lee Lawson, died Saturday, December 8, 2007 at the Central Baptist Hospital. She was born March 27, 1944 in Harrison County, daughter of Alma Rankin Kearns, Bourbon County, and the late Joseph Howard Kearns. She was a member of Ruddles Mill Christian Church and had been employed by Jockey International in Carlisle for 36 years. Mrs. Lawson is also survived by two daughters, Deanna (George) Berry, Gina Lee Lawson (Jarrod Lee Burton), both of Bourbon County; nine grandchildren, Kayla Lawson, Daniel Thornton, Ryan Charles, Erica Thornton, Jacob Thornton, Jenna Berry, Abigayle Berry, Addyson Berry, Cayden Berry; and two brothers, Mike (Brenda) Kearns, Bourbon County, and Mitchell (Lily Slaughter) Kearns, Scott County. She was preceded in death by a sister, Susie Scott, and a brother, Jackie Kearns. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 12, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. George Combest with interment in the Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana. Casket bearers will be Mitchell Kearns, Mike Kearns, Jarrod Burton, George Berry, Eric Scott, and Chuck Lawson. Her grandchildren will serve as honorary bearers. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.
